I'm going to hope you're holding the visual from Jackie's wonderful videos demonstrating how to use FriendBlasterPro because I want to share with you another place to add friends to your profile over at MySpace.
You have already seen how you can click the word 'search' on the toolbar at MySpace, enter a keyword and connect with people who mention that word on their page. There is another very good place to go to find others who value the things you value... that is by going to 'GROUPS'.
There are thousands of groups over at MySpace about many different things so you're bound to find a group or two where you will meet interesting people who share an interest with you. Here's a list of the Group categories that I lifted from MySpace --
- Activities (136442 groups)
- Automotive (53116 groups)
- Business & Entrepreneurs (21910 groups)
- Cities & Neighborhoods (42503 groups)
- Companies / Co-workers (38888 groups)
- Computers & Internet (18291 groups)
- Countries & Regional (15051 groups)
- Cultures & Community (87344 groups)
- Entertainment (383958 groups)
- Family & Home (48513 groups)
- Fan Clubs (260520 groups)
- Fashion & Style (79186 groups)
- Film & Television (49486 groups)
- Food, Drink & Wine (43352 groups)
- Games (68242 groups)
- Gay, Lesbian & Bi (39347 groups)
- Government & Politics (32812 groups)
- Health, Wellness, Fitness (27172 groups)
- Hobbies & Crafts (35955 groups)
- Literature & Arts (32904 groups)
- Money & Investing (13485 groups)
- Music (324844 groups)
- Nightlife & Clubs (62008 groups)
- Non-Profit & Philanthropic (20857 groups)
- Other (1448285 groups)
- Pets & Animals (38152 groups)
- Places & Travel (19689 groups)
- Professional Organizations (46780 groups)
- Recreation & Sports (140988 groups)
- Religion & Beliefs (109032 groups)
- Romance & Relationships (70805 groups)
- Schools & Alumni (183439 groups)
- Science & History (9678 groups)
- Sorority/Fraternities (31835 groups)
When you click 'Groups' from the toolbar along the top of any profile page you will be taken to a page that lists all of these categories. And to make things a bit easier and more efficient, MySpace offers a 'Search' function for Groups just like it does for members. Just click 'search groups', enter some terms that might define the kind of group you're looking for and you will find a listing of all groups that fall within the keyword parameter you chose!
One of the advantages of this is that you may have interests that aren't explicitly mentioned on your profile page... and that holds true for others too. After all, we can hardly mention every single interest we have in life all on one profile page and it doesn't mean we don't want to meet others that share our interest. For instance you may enjoy a hobby that you didn't mention on your page... and I'll bet you'll find a group full of people who share your interest... whether it's knitting, horseback riding, tattoos or Lake Louise Photography!
So if you open up your friendblaster and search groups until you find one that looks active you'll be able to add another group of amazing friends! ;-) And as you can see from my picture above... it all becomes a little
more clear when you see the whole 'group' over there <===. LOL
Have a Wonderful Wednesday!!!
