Using USFreeAds for Bum Marketing

Hi All,
I know it's Saturday, but I thought I'd pop in and let you all know about a great video Travis "The Bum Marketer" has put out.

He has done a 32 minute tutorial video on using US FreeAds. It is very comprehensive and takes you through the process he uses very nicely.

I thought it might be nice for you to see, since Mary K and I aren't using US Free Ads in our Bum Marketing efforts, but it is definitely part of the method.

Jackie Lee ~ Day 15

Here it is the end of the third week of the experiment and the day after Thanksgiving. There is so much to be grateful for.

• I had two more people sign up for my business on Wed.
  
• My family spent Thanksgiving with us.
• Hanna was really good most of the day
• Hanna went to sleep at 6 ~ she had no nap.
• I'm getting some financial stuff taken care of finally

Today I decided to write my article on gratitude ~ 30 min ~ including research
Posted to Ezine Articles and Scribd ~ 10 min (my craft article got 20 views yesterday and was published once)
Directed people to my myspace page ~ no time there.
I think I might do a Gratitude lens today just for fun.

That's it today, less than an hour. I seem to be finding the things that I enjoy writing, talking, learning about seem to take me much less time than the topics I'm doing just to make money.

There goes that law of attraction again!!

PS. I'm just coming back to add this, I couldn't wait until tomorrow. My "add more friends" lens at squidoo is now #4 on google for add friends on myspace. I have received 128 hits to that lens in the last 7 days from google. :) Just thought I'd share. Still don't see the article I wrote with the same key words. :(

Hello Everyone~

It's almost Thanksgiving. We are having everyone to our house for dinner tomorrow, and today I am super Thankful for having more clarity around when I am DONE with my work. It leaves me open to having no guilt about getting off the computer and doing other things ~ like cleaning the house ~ because I know I'm done!!!

Here's how today shaped up.

Wrote one article on Thanksgiving Arts and Crafts for Kids ~ 30 minutes (including research)
Submitted to Ezinearticles and Scribd ~ 10 minutes
Updated Entertain Your Toddler lens at Squidoo ~ 15 minutes
Bookmarked, Pinged and Stumbled ~ 5 minutes

That's it.

Just a quick note on updating Squidoo lenses. There is a firefox extension you can get to help you update your lenses. It is a little button in your toolbar. When you find an article or page you want to add to a lens you just click the button and it will let you choose which lens and which module you want to put it in. It will even let you start a new link module from there. It then saves and republishes your lens. It is a great way to both save things you like, and update your lenses which is an important thing to do if you want to keep them highly ranked at Squidoo.

That's it for me, I'm off to clean the house and get it ready for company.

Day 12~ Mary K

Wonderful day... and amazing to discover that when I give myself one hour...
I can get an amazing amount done in ONE HOUR!!! ;-)

I wrote two (Yes! 2) articles today and accomplished both in 1 hour!!!

I will confess that I spent a bit over an hour because I took a few minutes
to submit these articles to the directories.

And that's it for the week for me. So I'll be absentee days 13,14 and 15 and
I'm already looking forward eagerly to day 16 of our experiment where I, like
Jackie, will begin a new focus called brand MARY K!!!! ;-)

I have to tell you I'm having so much more fun writing articles about things that I love and then directing people to a place they can learn more about me. I have been teaching "vibrational marketing" for about 5 years now. It is a method that feels really good to me, and is easy for everyone, and is FREE. Doing the bum marketing method this way fits right in with the method I've been teaching so that feels really good too.

I think I've said it before and I'll say it again. I believe, that how you feel about something is as important as taking action toward a goal. Which goes along with the article I wrote today; Are You a Vibrational Match to Your Business?

I don't remember if I told you all about www.scribd.com, I think I did, it's the place that will supposedly get your listed in google in under 10 minutes. I have yet to find that to be the case. However, I do appreciate the fact they put your document into many different forms including pdf, and word. That's nice if you want to upload a pdf of something somewhere and don't have access to a pdf maker. :)

Today I:

Wrote an article: 30 minutes (no power struggles this morning yay)
Submitted to ezinearticles and scribd: 15 minutes (got sidetracked at scribd ~ they have a lot of stuff)
Stumbled the article from scribd: 5 minutes ~ wading through all the categories for something appropriate.
Tried to bookmark with onlywire ~ it was down. Will try again later.

That's it. Quick and easy day. On to other business and a trip to the park for the last warm day of fall. Oh and clean the house since everyone will be here for Thanksgiving. :)

Day 11 ~ Mary K

Whoa, Jackie...

LOVE the look on that baby's face!!!!
Yep! Another Monday. And Monday has, for as long as I can remember, been my favorite day of the week!!! So here's to MONDAY!!!

And after all that I have to confess I fell off the rails today.

Perhaps I put too much emphasis on the BUM and not enough on the Marketing?

A great example of how it can go when you work from home and realize you're going out of town for the Holiday weekend (which in my world will start Wednesday.... yipee!!! ;-))

I had a feeling this week might be a bust and so I've given myself permission to cut my time on the experiment down to one hour Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (and no time at all on Thursday or Friday - HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!) I will be practicing brevity and specificity.

So only two tasks accomplished today -

Submitted the article written Friday - 15 min.
Wrote another article - 45 min.

And still plenty accomplished for my magazine's upcoming December issue!

As a Deliberate Creator I am focusing on the tasks accomplished and celebrating the expansion!!!

Welcome to a new week! It's the 3rd week of the challenge and things are amping up. What a weekend it was.

I mentioned last week I was going to rework my myspace with some new information I learned. Wow. Let's talk about the reaction to this new page. I have received at least 15 messages at myspace. I had 1 person call me over the weekend. I had two people ask me to call them over the weekend and I have 2 coaching sessions scheduled for today. Now that's some movement baby!

It just goes to show that when you tell stories, let people know you really are, it resonates with people. In fact, one of the people I spoke with last night, and have another appointment scheduled to talk to her today was given the page by her mom. She had seen the page and sent her daughter a link saying I think you need to know this person. I think she can help you. THAT'S the kind of results I'm looking for.

Since I have moved to just focusing on ONE THING, I thought the one things would be a specific product or service. In reality, it has turned out to be me. I am just marketing myself, and when people call I just find out how I can best help them fill a need.

That feels really good. I am still of course doing our bum marketing experiment, but here's what I've found. I don't necessarily have to write articles pertaining to a certain keyword and product. I write articles that I find interesting or solve a problem that I am dealing with and then lead them back to my myspace page. My page tells the story and then people either look at my website or contact me about what I have to offer.

I know it's not exactly the way we originally planned the experiment. I guess that's what an experiment is all about. Working with something until you find something that works for you.

Here's how my morning shaped up.

Huge power struggle with Hanna ~ 45 minutes
Wrote article on being part of your target market ~ 20 minutes
Posted to Ezine Articles ~ 5 minutes
Also submitted article to Network Marketing Magazine

That's about it. I sent people to my myspace page in the resource box, so I don't need to do anything else in that respect. I will be checking in at myspace periodically and answering any messages.
